Introducing the new Kindle 2 Digital Reader

Amazon is finally releasing it’s sequel to the ground breaking digital reader with Kindle 2. The Kindle 2 has some nice new upgrades by being thinner at only 0.36 inches and weighing 10.2 ounces. More upgrades include an improved processor allowing for improved battery life and faster speeds.

Amazon has fixed the problem with the page-advance button. The Kindle 2 has much smaller page-turn buttons to get through your book.The memory has increased to 2GB, allowing a user to store up to 1,500 books, newspapers, or blog subscriptions, as well as all the images you want.

Amazon has upped the amount of onboard memory to 2GB (from 256MB), so you can store up to 1,500 books or assorted newspaper and blog subscriptions, as well as JPEG images.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced to cool features to the new Kindle. The first is Whispersync, which allows for syncing two or more Kindle devices. The second new feature is called “Read-to-me,” which allows you to have text read to you. So now you can drive and get your reading fix without even taking your eyes off the road. Depending on your selection, you can choose to have a male or female read to you.

The Kindle 2 is priced to sell at $359. To have a protective case, the Amazon’s Kindle 2 case will run you $29.99.
