There may be some bad news brewing in regards to the Apple and AT&T partnership. We never really hear bad news when it comes to Apple but Senators have begun urging the FCC to look into exclusive deals that are made by cellphone manufacturers and carriers. The Apple and AT&T deal may have p$$$ed off a couple folks since it may restict any type of competition.

The iPhone is the biggest and most advanced technology that has hit the stores. Senators want the FCC to look into the deal between the iPhone/AT&T deal and the Verizon/Palm Pre exclusive deal. One of the Senators is Massachusetts’ Senator, John F. Kerry, will push to allow more competition and forbid exclusive deals that leave consumers out in the street. Senate hearings will begin this week with a Commerce subcommittee dealing with the exclusive phone deals.
