Say Hello To The iPhone 3G S
By twilight • Jun 8th, 2009 • Category: Lead Story, TechnologyThe WWDC 2009 finally arrived and Apple enthusiasts are pumped up for the new product line set to launch. From a new iPhone 3Gs to Snow Leopard to price cuts and updates to the MacBook product line, Apple delivered once again. Unfortunately, the face of Apple, CEO Steve Jobs, was not in attendance. If you were unaware, Jobs took a leave of absence from the company due to medical problems. While Steve Jobs is on leave, it has been reported that he is still involved as much as possible.
So lets get to it. Here is what is to come from the popular computer company. First, the new iPhone 3Gs, yes…we said new. The iPhone 3Gs brings new features and faster performance. It includes a 3 megapixel camera that can auto focus, white balance, and improve picture quality when your on the go. The camera also has video capability. Yes….video. You can now take a video and edit it and then share it, all from you iPhone. This new version iPhone also includes a cool compass to help you find your way as well as the new 3.0 software which we will get into next.
Ok, so the new iPhone 3.0 software is upon us. It will be available June 17th and will be packing over 100 new features. These features include copy/paste, autofill, and voice dialing. If you make a mistake typing, just shake your phone and it will undo. These are just a few features to get you ready.
Leopard fans will be excited for the new OS Apple will release in September. The new operating system is called “Snow Leopard”. It backs in a ton of new features including updates to Exchange, Quicktime, and the great finder. Retail price will be $129 but for current Leopard users, it will only cost $29 buckaroos. Sweeettt!
The next announcement was the expected price cuts that Apple said it would work on. Everyone knows Apple’s are expensive and thats where the company loses that share in the computer market over Microsoft. So, Apple is making major price cuts starting with their MacBook product line. The new MacBook’s will also include some new features and looks to entice you.
FInally, one of the funniest and most practical innovations released by Apple is the “Find My iPhone” service. If you lose your iPhone now, have no worries, Apple has you covered. Use the “Find My iPhone” service on MobileMe and you can pin point your phone on a map. Awesome. Apple has still got it.
