I’m gonna go ahead and throw this out there…..if you don’t like Seinfeld, there is something wrong with you. Seinfeld is one of the best sitcoms to ever be on the tube. A show about nothing gave us episodes that tackled almost every weird situation we go through and made us laugh about it.

Seinfeld went for nine seasons, July 5, 1989 to May 14, 1998. After 11 years of being off the air,  the cast of Seinfeld is getting ready for a reunion. Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld wrote the show week after week. While Larry David was the head writer and executive producer, he went his way after seven seasons and going on to his next series called “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Larry David’s new show will host the Seinfeld cast reunion with all four of them, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Richards, Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The show will involve them playing themselves but putting together a new Seinfeld episode. It is definitely exciting to see the cast all back on the tube again.

Today Princeton reviewed colleges around the nation and put together it’s list of the top party schools. They ran a survey with over 122,000 college youngsters and came up with these keg party schools.

“Yo Quiero Taco Bell.” Remember that catchphrase from   all those Taco Bell commercials? The famous Chihuaha that delivered that line that boosted Taco Bell in the fast food market, has died.

The Chihuaha, whose name was Gidget, suffered a fatal stroke Tuesday night. Gidget was a 15 year old celebrity dog. She was the spokesdog for Taco Bell as well as a movie star. She starred in the film “Legally Blonde 2.”

Sue Chipperton. Gidget’s trainer told People Magazine that  “Gidget always knew where the camera was.” RIP Gidget. “Yo Quiero Taco Bell.”

Sacha Baron Cohen knocks another one out of the park with his latest  “mockumentary” film, “Bruno.” The movie claimed the number 1 spot at the box office over the weekend and brought in over $30 million dollars according to Universal Pictures. It scored $4 million more than his previous film “Borat”.

“Bruno” is about a gay Austrian fashion model looking to get famous in the United States. Sacha Baron Cohen is very controversial always upsetting one or two groups when he puts out a movie. This time he seemed to piss off gay-rights groups with his act as the gay Austrian model.

The box office also saw “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” bring in $28.5 million more as it came in at No. 2. “Transformers” slipped down to the No. 3 spot with $24 million over the weekend. So far the robot movie has brought in  $339.2 million in North America.

On a high note from the tragic death of Michael Jackson’s death last week, record sales flew through the roof. As soon as the news about the death of Pop Superstar, radio DJs and everyone with a music player started to blast his songs in tribute.

Record sales jumped with sales of over 422,000 copies of Michael Jackson albums. In fact, the top-selling albums all last week were Jackson’s. From first to third, “Number Ones”, “The Essential Michael Jackson”, and “Thriller” sold like hot cakes in stores all over the world. Many retailers sold out of the albums and have more on order ready to hit stores for fans wanting the albums that made history.

This isn’t the first time record sales for an artist sold like crazy, Kurt Cobain and Notorious B.I.G. had over 100 percent increases in sales following their deaths. It is sad but we thought we might just throw these numbers out for you…

Well it’s here. The big summer blockbuster has arrived, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.  Shi LeBeouf and Megan Fox light up the screen again in another crazy hollywood action sequel.

The midnight screening of the new Transformers brought in over $16 million. The movie will set more records before it even hits the weekend. Critics expect the movie to bring the box office over $150 million dollar. The first Transformers in July 2007 brought in more than $70 million.

Some may be going to see the big Hollywood sequel for the action but most are gaga for Megan Fox who has erupted as the next Angelina Jolie. Whatever people are going to see the movie for, they are gonna bring it a ton of money.

The only thing the Republican party has going for them is drama. The feud between Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and David Letterman is still going and going and going. For those of you new to this ridiculous story, let us recap.

David Letterman host a television show on CBS called “Late Show With David Letterman”, for those of you that live under a rock. Letterman usually opens up with a couple jokes to get his show going and apparently one joke really hit a personal hot spot for Governor Palin. Letterman made a joke regarding Palin’s trip to a Yankee game with her daughter. The joke he said was something like; “during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.” David Letterman said he was referring to Palin’s oldest daughter Bristol but Sarah Palin was actually with Willow, her youngest daughter.

Since the comment, Palin has been furious and claiming that Letterman made a joke about rape and her youngest daughter. David Letterman has apologized twice but it’s not good enough for the Alaskan Governor who still claims she can see Russia from her house. A group of Palin supporters have rescheduled rallies in New York to try and get Letterman fired for his joke. So lets just quickly sum this one up for you…..this could have been your Vice President.

When Stephen Colbert announced on his show that he would be joining the troops in Iraq, he wasn’t kidding. The Colbert Report took a major trip all the way to Iraq to film four episodes the the popular show with the troops.

Stephen Colbert known for his hysterically sarcastic humor was sporting a camouflage suit and tie in a palace that was once Saddam Hussain’s, called The Water Palace. Colbert started off with a comedic routine to get the troops in the right mood.

The most surprising event of his first appearance in Baghdad besides his video of basic training was when his first guest arrived. Colbert brought on General Ray Odierno for an interview on how Iraq is since it fell out of the spotlight. The audience was suddenly surprised to see video of President Barack Obama giving an order for General Ray Odierno to shave Stephen Colbert head if you really wants to be with the army. The summer box office hits are always surprising in what kind of numbers the bring in as to what kind of numbers they were supposed to bring in. This weekend there was a huge upset as two summer movies opened up. “The Hangover” and ” Land of the Lost” opened up on the same weekend in a battle of box office ticket sales.

“Land of the Lost”, featuring funny actor Will Ferrell, was pushed and pushed in it’s budget and with the thundering publicity to drive folks to the the film. Unfortunetly, moviegoers had a different interest and that was in the R-rated comedy, “The Hangover”. “The Hangover” sold an estimated $44 million in tickets while “Land of the Lost” sold a hurting $19.5 million making it start off in third place against the number 1 Hangover and behind Pixar’s “Up”.

In response to the poor start of the movie based on 1970s-era television show featuring huge comedian Will Ferrell, Nikki Rocco, Universal’s president for domestic distribution said “We didn’t do the business that we hoped.”

So far the box office hasn’t seen the huge attraction from moviegoers that a blow out movie.

The ratings soared on Monday all the way to a 7.1 rating, squashing David Letterman and making it the biggest ratings hit on a monday in a very long time. Conan opened up his new show with guest Will Ferrell and rock band Pearl Jam.

The departing Jay Leno will be back on NBC at a 10pm prime-time slot on September 14th. Leno and O’Brien are hoped to jump ratings as they are back-to-back every night.
