The Motorola Droid hasn’t even been out for a week and it is already lost its hype with Apple rumors. Google even jumped up the marketing efforts of Droid on it’s classic homepage but it just can’t compete with the revolutionary Apple iPhone.
Rumor has it that Apple is preparing to release a cheaper iPhone 3GS for the holiday season to take away the potential customers that Droid might have. The iPhone 3GS would be lowered to $99 bucks, beating the price tag of Droid which is sold for $200.
People are only chasing for Motorola Droids either because they are already sealed up in contracts with Verizon or because they were sold on the free turn-by-turn GPS from Google and the better camera. If you really did but the two phones up against each other, the iPhone would take the cake since it just so open and powerful. Nice try Droid but you might need to work on it a little more.

Are you kidding me? Everyone knows that Apple products are nearly impossible to hack or even allow viruses. This is another internet sensation that started when security experts Charlie Miller and Collin Mulliner exposed that the Apple iPhone could be vulnerable to a virus just by sending text messages. It all started from a presentation at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas.

Let me be the first to say that I think you and your iPhone will be just fine. There is a security vulnerability and it has been exposed but there is no virus that is actually built to take advantage of those vulnerability….see what we mean. So what are these programmable hacks that are possible on the iPhone? Let’s run them down.

First, the area that has the vulnerability (said that word a couple times already) involves text messaging or SMS as they call it. The hack can work by the ability to send programmable code via text message that can crash your iphone OS. If you wanted to know if you have been sent this code through text message, you will see a single square character. If you see something like this before the hole is closed by Apple, then shut off your phone immediately before the code runs.

The code that can run from your text message can potentially do just about anything. It can use our camera while you don’t know it, go through your address book, messages, make calls, and just about anything else. The important thing to know is that there is no immediate threat to your iPhone’s vulnerability just yet. This whole thing got started by a couple hackers presenting how they did it at a conference. So don’t be screening my text messages ok….
